Human Relations Commission is a 7-member commission. The commission is responsible for promoting ways by which people in the community learn to get along and to safeguard equal opportunity for all . This involves:
Adopting and implementing a comprehensive education outreach and action plan
Receiving complaints involving housing discrimination
Adopting rules and regulations that allow the commission to carry out its assigned functions
Cooperating with federal and state agencies having similar functions
Providing information sharing, staff training, community education, mediation, cultural literacy
