LEARN HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF IN A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT. BUILD CONFIDENCE. REDUCE FEAR AND ANXIETY. RELIEVE STRESS. Women’s empowerment comes in many forms. At its core, it is boosting self esteem, building confidence, offering support, and raising awareness through education. My empowerment-based, trauma-informed approach is what makes She-Jitsu different from conventional self-defense. Over the years, I’ve guided women down this path of transformation by developing easy to use techniques such as awareness strategies, assertiveness exercises, verbal communication skills in combination with safety strategies and physical self defense techniques to prevent, resist, and escape violent assaults. When I started Jiu-jitsu, I was an easy target. I had zero confidence. I was extremely insecure. I’m living proof that Jiu jitsu creates confidence because I wouldn’t be who I am today without it. After a few years of training, I made eye contact with a man at 7-11. I said, absolutely nothing to him. As he walked past me, he said, “Don’t mess with her.” I sensed he was a predator by the way he was treating the female cashier. Predators can sense the confidence we exude and they are NOT looking for hard targets. There’s not a guarantee when learning how to defend yourself, but I can guarantee that the self defense I teach is not crap. It’s designed specifically for women. It’s designed for a smaller, WEAKER person to survive, escape, and defeat a larger, STRONGER assailant. Studies have shown, women who have proper self defense training have a lower chance of being assaulted and a higher success rate of surviving an assault. Your first week is free. You have absolutley nothing to lose, and so so much to gain. It’s my greatest passion to share this knowledge with women. I hope to see you there! Empowering Women on and off the mat.
