Join us for an outdoor read-aloud of "Passage to Freedom", the heroic story of Chiune Sugihara and how he saved thousands of Jewish refugees Are you looking for an age-appropriate conversation on the Holocaust? Join us for a family friendly read aloud and discussion! As a response to the recent events in the community, we are pleased to offer this opportunity to share, discuss, and educate. All ages welcome, best for grades K-4. Special guest: Children's Librarian from Southeast Library - Ms. Elaine! We will also be raffling off a signed copy of the book! In addition to serving as the representative in our nation’s capital of the international Chabad-Lubavitch movement - the worlds largest and fastest growing network of Jewish educational and social service institutions, with more than 3500 affiliates in 50 states and over 100 countries - American Friends of Lubavitch (Chabad) coordinates and supports an array of exciting activities and programs enhancing Jewish life and identity in Washington, DC.
