IHRSCA PRESENTS ITS FIRTS ANNUAL SPELLING BEE. WE PRAY YOU ARE WELL AND ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO A WONDERFUL LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR CHILDREN. THE SPELLING BEE WILL BE IN TWO PARTS. PART A WILL BE FOR GRADES PRE K THROUGH 3RD AND PART B WILL BE FOR GRADES 4 THROUGH 6TH. WE WILL OBSERVE THE SCRIPPS HOWARD NATIONAL SPELLING BEE RULES, WHICH CAN BE FOUND BY GOOGLING SCRIPPS HOWARD SPELLING BEE. THEN, CLICK RULES. YOU CAN ALSO ACCESS THE WORDLIST FROM 2019, WHICH WE WILL BE USING FOR OUR BEE. WE WILL ALSO INCLUDE DOLCH WORDLIST WEBSITE FOR THE BASIC WORDS. The Islamic Research & Humanitarian Services Center of America (IRHSCA) is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) institution established in 1999 under the leadership of Shaykh Abdul-Rahman Yaki and a small group of Muslim families in Prince Georges County, MD. IRHSCA's main objectives are: 1) to facilitate the pursuit of knowledge of the Islamic sciences; and 2) to serve humanity. Over the years, IRHSCA has grown and continued to transform the lives of individuals and families in the DC Metro area. The Center provides a stable, accepting, and spiritually-enriching environment for the community and acts as a resource for Islamic learning and development for all Muslims. It is rooted in principles such as inclusion and the shunning of character assassination and has become a leader in the improvement of Muslim marriages and family relations. IRHSCA holds a weekly Jumu'ah Salat (congregational prayer) that accommodates nearly 500  worshippers, as well as a full range of programs designed to assist new converts, serve the general community, and cultivate positive relationships with the surrounding interfaith and non-Muslim community.
