An introduction to Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) & Therapeutic Foster Care with Anson Family Counseling in Syracuse, Utah. Have you ever considered being a foster parent? Do you have a desire to help families be together? Anson Family Counseling is providing a 3 hour opportunity to learn more about what Trust Based Relational Intervention® is and how the agency will be using it in their new Therapeutic Foster Care Program. Foster Care is the temporary placement of children with families outside of their own home. While children can’t live with their parents, and while those parents are getting their own treatment, we want an integrated way to help these families be more successful. The agency is looking for parents that are willing to open their hearts and homes to mentor children and their families in efforts to expedite a safe and successful reunification. Our goal is to help mitigate the trauma of removal for the child and parents by providing Therapeutic Foster Families that are trained and implementing TBRI® and that will use best practices and resources that improves child and parent well-being outcomes. Anson Family Counseling and their Therapeutic Foster Care Program emphasizes the importance of supporting relationships between foster parents and parents to facilitate improved engagement amongst one another and strengthen the overall well being of the child and family while ensuring safety and building protective capacities in the family.
