Weave a sampler of weft-faced twill rug patterns on a 4 shaft loom. Weft Faced Twill Rugs on 4 ShaftsSaturday, February 5, 9am-3:30pm Instructor: Barb Gallagher $70 Experience level: Ability to warp a loom and read a draft. You will warp your loom before coming to class. Materials needed: 4 shaft loom. Additional materials list will be provided after registration. Class limit: 6 Just one threading, but lots of treadlings to give you a wide variety of patterns to use. You'll weave a small sampler in class. We'll also go over some basic information needed to weave good rugs, such as approriate materials, finishes, and warp yarns to use. Before class, you will need to have your 4 shaft loom warped and ready to weave prior to class. Threading information will be provided after registration, along with additonal materials you will need. Also bring your lunch, beverages, and a mask. Questions about this class? Effective August 26, 2021 For everyone’s safety, you are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and to wear a mask when inside the Guild House. Your fee will be refunded if the class is canceled or changed to a different date. Three registrations are required for a class to be held. Students will be notified before the start date if a class is canceled due to an insufficient number of students. Eventbrite processing and credit card payment fees will not be refunded if a student cancels for any reason. The Weavers Guild of Greater Cincinnati, Inc. was created in 1948 as a non-profit educational organization to promote interest in handweaving. Today, the Guild offers education in a wide range of fiber processes and techniques, including weaving, felting, spinning, basketry, knitting, and dyeing. Guild members are from the Cincinnati metropolitan area and surrounding communities, as well as from Kentucky and Indiana.  Members range in experience from beginners to professionals. All benefit from the Guild's priorities: education through classes, workshops, programs, study groups; sharing information and fiber techniques with other members and community groups; and promoting and supporting local fiber producers and businesses.  After 50 years of meeting in various churches throughout Greater Cincinnati, the Guild has its own home at 4870 Gray Road in Spring Grove Village.
