Visual Country is a full service studio producing the highest quality videos, photography and digital content for the world's leading brands. We have worked with over 250 major brands, including Google, Pinterest, Clinique, American Airlines, Uber and Neutrogena. We are seeking a contractor (accepting a 2-man contracting team) to work with Visual country on set-building/construction as well as studio renovations. Responsibilities will include: - Creating/constructing the physical sets and backdrops for VC productions. - Building necessary fixtures, and ensuring that sets are movable (temporary walls and/or sheet rock) or interchangeable as required for shoots. - Carpentry, painting, fabrication, and designing. - Working with executive producer and VC team to compile materials list to source materials for construction - In addition to onset responsibilities, the successful candidate will help maintain a functional and safe facility, performing repairs, improvements, and organizational tasks - Proficiency in steel and aluminum welding and all areas of carpentry. - Analyze light sources, camera angle, permanent structure to situate sets properly. Requirements: - 2+ years set building/contracting experience. - 2+ years woodworking/shop experience or construction. - Ability to physically lift and move heavy objects and equipment - Strong attention to detail - Experience working with a production crew is a plus. - Highly motivated and passionate about the projects at hand
