This conference is held to celebrate the 159th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda who planted seeds for yoga in the west 129 years ago, when he spoke at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in 1893. Introduction to Swami Vivekananda and his contributions in all four major paths of yoga - Karma yoga for the worker, Bhakti yoga for the lover, Raja yoga for the mystic, and Jnana yoga for the philosopher.
