The Sound and Vision of David Bowie
Come join us at The Cutting Room for a night of The Sound and Vision of David Bowie.
'The Sound and Vision of David Bowie - A Celebration' is a band of latter-day Bowie collaborators and co-conspirators who have been coming together annually to perform the music of David Bowie exclusively at The Cutting Room in New York City. Members of the group have been a part of David’s work from the mid 1990’s - from the Outside/Nine Inch Nails tour in 1995 through to his theatrical creation ‘Lazarus’ in 2015. Musicians and producers from the ensemble have participated in every Bowie recording and tour from 1997 onward - including ‘Earthling,’ ‘hours,’ ‘Heathen,’ ‘Reality,’ ‘The Next Day,’ ‘Blackstar,’ and the newly released ‘Toy’ (the ‘lost’ album from 2000.) Vocalists who are bringing their time and talents this year include Michael C. Hall, Gail Ann Dorsey, Michael Esper, Catherine Russell, JJ Appleton, Everett Bradley, Holly Palmer, Emm Gryner, and Jim Boggia.
This year the SVDB band includes Bowie alums Mark Plati, Henry Hey, Donny McCaslin, Tim LeFebvre, Brian Delaney, JJ Appleton, Catherine Russell, Everett Bradley, and Gerry Leonard. Past collaborators include Zachary Alford, Cristin Milioti, Chris McQueen, and Earl Slick.
SVDB is not a touring ensemble, so now is the time to book your tickets for these two nights while they last.
