Are you interested in hearing more about local, state, and federal arts grants opportunities for individual artists? As an individual artist, could you use additional funds for the creation of new works or to assist in the development of your artistry or community development? The agenda is to demystify and provide emerging and established artists with accessibility and insight into artist grants. Panelists will share how they have overcome the common fears that artists often experience and offer sound, practical advice to successful funding opportunities. The panel hosted by writer and teaching artist Nahshon Dion provided artists with a systematic and logical way of searching for grants, and help identify which foundations or grants to apply for, so artists don't waste time on dead-end proposals. The panelist shared valuable information about the grant process and provide folks with the tools they need to propel their work to the next level. Our goal is to help provide economic sustainability for artists because we want to see artists grow and develop their arts careers with the funding available for them to apply for.
