Unique Opportunity at Cedarwood Waldorf School : Facilities Assistant The 2021-22 school year is well underway, with special needs that must be met. Cedarwood needs an extra pair of hands right now to meet those challenges. We are currently taking applications for the position of Facilities Assistant. If you have a few spare hours each week and a tinkerer’s spirit, helping to keep our historic school building beautiful and safe is a perfect match for you! The basics for applicants: • Primary skills: Ability to listen and follow instructions, be a cooperative member of a team, and be able to organize, prioritize, and be logical in approach to work. You’re basically going to be moving things, fixing things, and painting things. • Hours & Compensation: 10-15 hrs/week during school year (evening or weekend shifts), plus 15-20 hrs/week during seasonal break periods. $18/hr to start. • Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID (vehicle not required, but a definite plus). • Must provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, or proof of official state-allowed exemption and compliance with weekly COVID testing • Ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 lbs & be comfortable on ladders • No experience needed, but it’s a plus. Specific training will be provided. • Position will expand to 20-25 hrs/week yearlong starting July 1, 2022.
