It's a new year and a great time to take a good look at your company's financials and how it aligns with your business plan for 2022! This session is an introduction to business financial statements such as the balance sheet, income statement, and how to do projections. Geared for new businesses and existing businesses seeking a better understanding of these important financial reports and how it serves as part of your financing request packet. We will have a panel of lenders and resource partners on hand to provide feedback and guidance and answer questions you have about your company's financials. The team at SBA’s Hawaii District Office – including our Guam branch staff - has a wealth of experience and an extensive network of lenders, trainers, consultants and resource providers in the private sector and at the Federal, State, and County levels to help you build the business that you envision. Training, technical assistance and consulting services are readily available from the Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), the Women’s Business Center, and SCORE throughout the Hawaii District Territory are available to you for your business venture. Whether you’re in the early planning stages, need to develop your business plan, or compile a financing package, these programs give professional support. The State Trade Expansion Program (STEP) with the State of Hawaii DBEDT allows firms interested in or ready to export to learn, advance and secure international sales. SBA’s cutting edge “CEO” course, Emerging Leaders, sharpens the tools for small business owners to reach the next level by mastering business management skills. SBA’s government contracting has a significant impact on the Hawaii & Pacific Island’s economy, fueled by our critical location in the Pacific and the military investment. The 8(a) business development program, HUB Zone initiative, Women Owned Small Business Contracting, All Small Mentor-Protégé Program, and other priority programs support training and contract awards to many small firms and open doors to business growth and job creation in our state.
