Description
We pray for God’s healing touch on those who suffer from injury, illness and other heavy burdens. Hybrid service. An ecumenical service. God of the Hurt and Broken Prayers for healing and wholeness, an ecumenical service Feb. 13, Sunday at 2 p.m. central time Join us in-person or by live stream Register by Feb. 10 Our faith traditions tell us that Jesus invited the sick to seek healing, the broken to seek wholeness. In that spirit, on this day we pray for God’s healing touch on those who suffer from injury, illness and other heavy burdens. Our prayer this day will be that the God of Love: Cool the fever, bring balm to the pain, ease the fight for air, adapt the body for new ways to move, and calm the cravings. Ease anxiety and fear. Build trust in your everlasting love and care. God of all, hear our prayer. Come yourself. Bring a family member. Bring a friend in need of healing. Feel the healing touch of Jesus reach out and rest upon you. If you don’t feel the need for healing yourself, come and offer a prayer of faith and healing on behalf of others. If the pandemic keeps you from being here in person, please join us via Zoom. It is important that we come together to pray for and with one another. Distance is no obstacle to prayer. This year it will be an ecumenical prayer service, with leadership from Fr. Ron Will, C.PP.S. from Precious Blood Renewal Center and President Michael Beach from the Liberty area Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Roman Catholics mark the World Day of Prayer for the Sick, every year on Feb. 11. You are invited whether or not you are weary from physical, emotional or spiritual sickness. Our facility is handicapped-accessible with ample parking. The Renewal Center has capacity limits as part of our COVID protocols. We practice social distancing and require masks indoors.
