Prophetic Society: Faith & Social Justice
A MY-ICD Family Night Program
Join us to learn about Faith and Social Justice! In his last hour at the minbar, the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) reminded the Ummah that no Arab is better than a non-Arab. He highlighted a specific type of discrimination that still blights our community to this day: racism.
How can we address it now within our American Muslim communities? What does a united muslim community look like? Where do we want to be 5, 10, 15 years from now? How do we get there? How do we ensure our differences, whether it’s race, ethnicity, ideas, etc. do not destroy community connections?Location: Islamic Center of Detroit (Masjid ICD)
