WAUKESHA, WI— The City of Waukesha's garbage contractor, Waste Management, was named as presenting sponsor of the 37th annual Waukesha JanBoree, the city announced. "The City of Waukesha is proud to partner with Waste Management on the Waukesha JanBoree," said City of Waukesha Mayor Shawn Reilly in a statement. "We thank them for their support of this longstanding event and appreciate Waste Management's investment to help keep JanBoree events free to all attendees." "JanBoree is one of the many things that make Waukesha special and we are delighted to help make it happen," said Ryan Cabrera, district manager for Waste Management, in a statement. The JanBoree will be held Jan. 14 -Jan. 23. The festival offers nearly 50 activities, for adults and children alike with most events offered at no charge. This year's JanBoree theme is "Channel the Flannel" and will feature flannel and lumberjack inspired activities, the city said. The Waukesha JanBoree will kick off with lumberjack inspired activities at Lowell Park, 2201 Michigan Ave. on Jan. 14 including hand-sawing, ax throwing, and tree scaling in addition to the traditional ice carving demonstration, ice skating, tobogganing and sledding.
