Here are the top 3 stories today in Madison: Madison Streets Division crews announced Wednesday that temperatures remained too cold for salting and that sand would instead be applied to main routes. The city expects that salting will not be feasible until Saturday, meaning many Madison roads will remain snow-covered throughout the week. In the meantime, officials have asked drivers to use caution and reduce speed when on the roads. (97 Seven Country WGLR)Edgewood College announced that it will start the spring semester one week later than planned due to a surge in COVID-19 cases. Classes at the small private college in Madison were slated to start back up on Jan. 18 but will now begin on Jan. 24. The change only applies to in-person undergraduate courses.
