Seeking a New Friend or Two

I'm a nice, friendly woman who never married or had kids (just never met the right person). Don't have any family left since my Mom passed away in mid-2020.  I have one very close friend, but they are much older than me, so I wanted to try and connect with someone more my own age who may be in a similar situation with a limited social circle who would like to make a new friend.  You can be male or female.  I'm 60 and am generally seeking someone in the 55-65 age range so we have things in common.  I've tried to find local groups to join to do activities with and meet new people, but didn't have much success.  Am hoping to meet 1 or 2 good people.  I have a variety of interests, a great sense of humor and am a thoughtful conversationalist.  I live in Stamford so am seeking someone local to me so we could do things together more easily.  I've been vaccinated for Covid-19 as well.  Thank you! FYI: I put this ad here so that people can respond directly to me using the "Contact This Poster Directly" option which you can't do on "Neighbor Posts."  I just didn't want to have to keep checking the site all the time to see if anyone responded and thought this would be easier.
