Malden Out Of COVID Test Kits; More On The Way

MALDEN, MA — Malden has run out of rapid at-home coronavirus test kits that it received from the state in December. The city has ordered 20,000 more kits and will arrange another distribution soon, according to a statement on the city of Malden Twitter page. Malden was one of 102 communities selected to receive the test kits from iHealth Labs through a statewide initiative designed to reach towns hit the hardest by the pandemic. During the first round of distribution, Malden was given 20,000 test kits, which were distributed through Health and Human Services and local nonprofits to help residents disproportionately affected by COVID-19. We have officially run out of test kits for this distribution. We have 20,000 more kits on order and will be arranging another distribution soon. Please monitor our website for the next event.
