DANVERS, MA — Several state elected officials are joining with the Massachusetts Military Support Foundation to help distribute free coats for veterans at North Shore Community College. Sen. Joan Lovely, Rep. Jamie Belsito, Rep. Paul Tucker and Rep. Tom Walsh are set to be on hand to hand out the coats to veterans on Jan. 14 from noon to 2 p.m. at the North Shore CC's Danvers campus on Ferncroft Road. The Foundation's mission is to provide programs, services and goods to help the critical needs of veterans, active-duty military and their Massachusetts families. "Each of our programs is designed to have maximum impact on the many issues veterans and active-duty military face," the Foundation said. "We provide solutions that make a long-lasting, life-changing difference for these brave men and women." The Foundation said sponsorship of the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation will help make this event possible. Go here for more information on donations and coat distribution.
