Multi-Vehicle Crash Temporarily Closed Route 8 In Naugatuck

Description

NAUGATUCK, CT — Route 8 northbound in Naugatuck between exits 29 and 30 temporarily was closed Wednesday morning following a multi-vehicle crash, according to the state Department of Transportation. Details of the crash were not immediately available, but roads throughout the Borough and the state were treacherous Wednesday due to surfaces receiving a coating of icy rain. Interstate 84 in Southbury was temporarily closed Wednesday due to crashes, as was a portion of Route 8 in Trumbull. A crash also closed a portion of Route 25 in Newtown on Wednesday, according to the state Department of Transportation.
