Press release from Fairfax County Public Schools: January 05, 2022 FCPS schools will be closed Wednesday, January 5, 2022 with no virtual learning. School offices will open two hours late; central offices open at 10 a.m. All Fairfax County public schools will be closed Wednesday, January 5, 2022. In-person and virtual learning are canceled. School offices will open two hours late. Central offices will open at 10 a.m. The following activities in schools and on school grounds are canceled: School age child care (SACC) centers are closed. Weekly meal kit distribution will be done at the regular locations from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 6. Decisions around access to FCPS COVID-19 testing sites will be finalized the morning of Wednesday, January 5, 2022, and will be dependent on conditions. Please check the testing web page for updates to the schedule.
