Description

Press release from Town of Arlington: 01/04/2022 2:30 PM JRM reports that they will need to delay the collection of Christmas trees one week due to staff shortages from COVID-19. This delay in tree collection will help ensure the regular collection of trash and recycling, which is a higher priority.  Please be sure to keep your tree off the curb until your collection day, as you are able. Trees left on the curb are more likely to blow around our streets and public ways, as well as become a hazard if we have a snow event that requires plowing. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank residents for their continued patience and cooperation.  Be sure your tree is prepared correctly: No stand or decorations No plastic bag Must not be frozen to the ground or covered in snow Trees that are not prepared correctly cannot be collected and will be the responsibility of the resident to dispose of. A one day drop off is scheduled on Saturday morning, January 15 9 AM to 12 PM  33 Ryder Street  Bare Christmas trees only, no stands or decorations, no plastics No yard waste No decorative greenery (these should go in the trash is it has wire and plastic/paint, or can be included as yard waste next spring if all of the non-organic material is removed) Arlington residents only, free, no registration required This press release was produced by Town of Arlington.
