Press release from the City of Colorado Springs: 2022-01-05 The City of Colorado Springs Community Development Division is seeking public comment and feedback on the draft 2022 Annual Action Plan for allocating funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Four public meeting were held in October to get input before creating the draft and the City is now looking for input on how the plan reflects the community's priorities. The City of Colorado Springs Community Development Division (CDD) will conduct a virtual public hearing on January 5th to present the draft 2022 Annual Action Plan and to take comment and feedback from the public. Funding supports affordable housing, homelessness prevention, economic development, non-profit assistance and neighborhood improvements for low-income populations. Funding programs include the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG). The draft plan will be available for public review and comment today through Jan. 12, 2022.
