Outdoor concert with The Marty Stokes Band! Live music returns – outdoors and with social distancing – at the Alliance! We’ve been hard at work to create an intimate, open-air venue where our neighbors can safely enjoy live entertainment. And what better backdrop for a performance than the gorgeous Florida sky. Reserve your square for THE MARTY STOKES BAND now! Marty Stokes was originally raised on Sanibel & Captiva Islands, a true NATIVE ISLANDER and Floridian, and has been playing different variations of Blues Music since he was a kid. His style is raw, melodic, and reaches to the core. Stokes and his band always brings strong applause and positive reaction to the true Blues audience. His love of the Blues began as a youngster overseas while growing up in a Military family, and so there were several assignments overseas, where American / English influence on the genre was raging with eager European listeners. It was in Wiesbaden Germany that Stokes was struck hard, listening to the early works of Clapton, Johnny Winter, BB King, Peter Green, Alvin Lee, Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, and many others. These days you can catch him locally and regionally in some of the top blues venues where the best Blues players are performing around Florida. His 4 piece blues ensemble includes accomplished Saxophonist Jennifer Mazziotti, who has played alongside Stokes for the past 10 years. Familiar to the Blues Scene, Jennifer has performed, recorded and toured with Blues Greats James and Lucky Peterson, to name a couple. Jennifer comes from a Jazz Background which adds a nice color to the bands Progressive Blues feel. The tight rhythm section made up of Bassist Daryl Best and Cuban Drummer Ernesto Guerra is guaranteed to please the Blues Connoisseur. Seating is limited and attendees will purchase a pass for a 6×6 square space on our GreenMarket lawn. In order to maintain social distancing, all lawn spaces will be 6 feet apart. Guests are required to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. A pass for a 6×6 square space is $12.50 for 1 person, $25 for two people or $50 for a group of four people. The average per person price is $12.50 plus fees. NO PETS. Seating is limited to inside each square, You can not buy 2 squares and then "spread out" across the squares and walkways. Seating is INSIDE the squares only. Attendees are able to pre-order snack boxes for two, provided by the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre. Beverages will be available for purchase onsite. Boxes include: Chicken Salad Wrap with Spinach and Cranberries and Citrus Coleslaw for 2 - $15.00 Hummus Vegetarian Wrap with Citrus Slaw for 2 - $15.00 Charcuterie Box with Meats, Cheeses, Baguette and Olives for 2 - $12.50 Dessert Medley (Coconut Macaroons, Brownies, and Chocolate Chip Cookies) for 2 - $10.00 Please note: Event staff and volunteers are required to wear masks at all times. Attendees are required to wear masks indoors of the Alliance, for bathrooms and when social distancing is not possible.
