BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Two Bergen County lottery players collected $10,000 in winnings, lottery officials announced on Wednesday. There were five third-tier prizewinning tickets sold for the Tuesday drawing that matched four of the five white balls, and the Gold Mega Ball drawn, winning the $10,000 prize. Those tickets were sold at: Bergen County: Bergenfield Deli and Grill, 393 South Washington Ave., BergenfieldBergen County: Mini Mart, 773 Palisade Ave., Cliffside ParkMonmouth County: Townsquare Liquor & Bar, 345C Matawan Rd., MatawanOcean County: Rite Aid #10517, 86 B Lacey Rd., WhitingUnion County: Clark Cardsmart, 170 Westfield Ave., ClarkThis all comes ahead of Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, where the jackpot is an estimated $610 million, with an estimated cash payout of $434.2 million. The last time the Powerball jackpot was claimed was last October, when a lottery player in California took home a nearly $496 million payoff on a $699,800,000 jackpot. In New Jersey, 11 people (or 2.8 percent of all winners) have won the Powerball jackpot. The most recent Garden State Jackpot winners were announced in January 2021, when both $33,200,000 and $23,200,000 prizes were claimed by New Jersey residents. Another New Jersey winner claimed a whopping $190,000,000 prize in April 2020.
