"I can honestly say that I'd do the same thing if people came after me like they did after Kyle..." Pick the minority of your choice, preferably one you are exceptionally perturbed with. Even better than that, a minority or a cause you hate. Now that you have it in your head, consider this allegory. My hated minority will be drag queens. I chose them for this parable because it is silly, and no one actually fears them, but many do hate them. Now suppose I decide I am against them marching down main street two states over (let's say Ann Arbor Michigan.) So, I load up my Smith & Wesson M&P 15 and drive to Ann Arbor to "keep the residents safe." Never mind no one in Ann Arbor invited me for that task or suggested they would welcome strangers carrying assault rifles in their community. 1- If I carry a rifle, I go with the expectation of using it. 2- If I know I hate drag queens, and go to one of their marches, I go with an expectation of a confrontation. 3- If and when confrontation occurs, being armed, my expectation in YOUR WORDS is to "shoot them and blow their heads off!" If this does not sound insane to you, God help us all. What happened to sitting home, watching the drag queens on your television and grousing? Perhaps when the minority you chose above, send one of its young hot heads into a political demonstration YOU are holding, and begins firing willy-nilly you will only then fully comprehend.
