Randy Otto was killed inside his home last week by Rhonda Lorna Essenpeis, according to police. Otto's friends say he had a long career in the Air Force and he later became a commercial pilot. (foxchattanooga.com) Chattanooga's Smart Grid earned PEER Gold (Performance Excellence in Electricity Renewal) Certification for resilience and sustainability. Smart Grid is operated by EPB, and this announcement builds on EPB's designation in 2015 as the first municipal utility to achieve PEER certification.
