Native Outdoor Services, Inc. is seeking a full time Groundskeeper to maintain sports fields on Sanibel Island, Florida. Position consists of day-to-day maintenance, field set-up for youth soccer, flag football and adult slow pitch softball, in addition to other required duties. Responsibilities: • Mowing, edging, string trimming, blowing and irrigation scheduling • Setup of fields including clay maintenance, layout field dimensions, spray/chalk boundary lines • Trim shrubs and spot spray weeds • Perform custodial duties • Communicate in a professional manner with all recreation and school staff Education and/or Experience: • Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently • High School Diploma or GED with one year of experience maintaining sports fields, landscape and turf, or an equivalent combination of both sufficient to successfully performing the duties • Operate specialized equipment related to the industry such as tractors, mowers, golf cart and various pieces of small 2-cycle gas-powered equipment Requirements: • Must have valid Florida Driver’s License • Must successfully complete a background check • Must be able to work some holidays and Saturdays depending on sport season Questions?
