This position is responsible for making sure that products meet a set of standards. Responsibilities include examining shipments of inventory, measuring the specifications of items to meet customer expectations, and Company Standard Operating Procedures. Essential Job Functions 1. This position receives, inspects, and accepts only the highest quality products. 2. Check and Inspect inbound and outbound products, parts, and materials. Performs special inspections when requested. 3. Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database. 4. Become efficient in detecting product defects. 5. Adjusts computer inventory on hand balance when necessary. 6. Assists in training warehouse employees in quality control. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Ability to adapt to changing needs in the distribution center. 2. Must be able to perform simple addition, fraction, and subtraction problems. 3. Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds; Ability to climb ladders; Good or corrected vision; stand more than 80% of the time. 4. Stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, walking, pushing, standing, feeling, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, bending, and repetitive motions. 5. Proficient in Microsoft Office. 6. Excellent communications skills. Needs to be able to read, write and communicate in English. 7. Ability to work both independently and on a team. Education and Experience 1. High School diploma or GED. 2. 1+ year experience in a warehouse and/or distribution environment.
