We are seeking an energetic, well-educated and highly qualified Athletic Trainer to assist our physical therapists in the daily operations of our facility as well as provide outreach services to the local community and high schools. Qualifications: Develops, implements, and maintains comprehensive health care programs for athletes and other patients. Under the direction of a physician, the practice of athletic training includes injury/illness prevention and risk management, clinical evaluation and diagnosis for acute or chronic illness, immediate and emergency care, treatment, rehabilitation and/or reconditioning of injury/illness, and organizational and professional health and well-being of individuals. The Athletic Trainer is placed in various sites for provision of services including, but not limited to, high school, outreach programming, and community events. Preferences: Experience working with active populations, including ability to demonstrate therapeutic exercises and assist with basic hands-on techniques (assistance with stretching, foam rolling or utilization of massage/modality equipment).Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to build relationships with patients and provide a warm, welcoming environment. Customer service oriented approach and an outgoing personality. Ability to work flexible days and hours (including nights and weekends). Professional demeanor and appearance. Desire to learn and develop in the healthcare/exercise community. Ability to assist with patient care in a positive, caring and empathetic manner while working as part of the broader clinical team to assure the highest standards of patient centered care. CERTIFICATION/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Board of Certification, Inc. certified as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) required. License as an Athletic Trainer (AT) through the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
