Press release from the City of Alameda: January 04, 2022 Webster Tube (State Route 61) Overnight Closures  For Maintenance Work January 4-7, 2022 ALAMEDA COUNTY — Caltrans has scheduled full overnight closures of the State Route 61 Webster Tube January 4-7, 2022. The closures are overnight only. The tube will be open in the daytime. The Webster and Posey tubes connect the cities of Alameda and Oakland. ALAMEDA COUNTY From 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4 until 5 a.m. the following morning From 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6 until 5 a.m. the following morning The tube will be open in the daytime. All closures are nighttime only. The purpose of the closures is to accommodate maintenance work. Work will be postponed if it rains. The tube will be open in the daytime.
