VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — After just one season as the Vestavia Hills High School football coach, Sean Calhoun announced he is stepping down. Calhoun has accepted a job in Colquitt County, Ga., according to AL.com. The Rebels went 4-6 in Calhoun's lone season in Vestavia, failing to make the playoffs. "My time here was more than I could put into words," Calhoun told AL.com. "To me, it was quality over quantity. Obviously, I wasn't here that long, but the people and players I worked with and got to know -- those relationships will last a lifetime." Calhoun ran Colquitt's offense in 2014 and 2015, during which the Packers were 30-0 and won two state titles under coach Rush Propst. Read more about Calhoun's resignation on AL.com.
