Pair of guinea pigs, bonded since fall of 2020. Thick as thieves, opposite personalities. Calico is a daring explorer, all-brown is a fraidy-cat. Kept happily in multi-level hutch but have also enjoyed occasional free-roam in the house and yard time in small pen during summer. Bedding has been doubled-up fleece. Fed a rotation of hays (timothy, orchard, botanical) and they like most kibble (favorite is White Mill, tough to find right now, currently eating Vita Smart). Big fans of bell peppers and romaine hearts, just “meh” for tomatoes. Tolerate nail trims fairly well; calico has thirteen white nails and one brown, so if her nails are cut first you have a good idea of where the all-brown’s quick is. They are convinced every rustling plastic bag is full of treats for them and will greet the primary food-bringer as a hero every time. Need to stay together. Must move, can’t bring.
