Anyone want to start a cover band? Practice and play some gigs for fun. Open to wide variety of styles, but prefer crowd pleasing bangers or simple pop songs. Do we cover an entire album - Weezer's Blue Album or Tom Petty Full Moon Fever? A medley of Cars songs? Maybe we just play My Sharona on repeat for 40 minutes? I play guitar (lead or rhythm), mediocre backup vocals, male, late 30s. I have good gear and have played out live a lot but not for a long time. Just want to play some covers and gigs again. EMO/ALTERNATIVE/POP ROCK: Strokes, Blink 182, Fall Out Boy, Weezer, Paramore, Avril Lavigne, My Chemical Romance? PURE POP: Carly Rae, T Swift, Britney? COUNTRY: Alan Jackson, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Florida Georgia Line, etc? CHEESY 80s POP: Kenny Loggins, Robert Palmer, Steve Winwood, Huey Lewis and the News? 60s Girl Pop in PopRock Style? My only request, please no Stone Temple Pilots or Soundgarden. Lol
