Punk Guitar player looking for bass player to jam/play songs

Description

Hey all, I'm a (mostly) punk guitarist looking to break out of solo practice and jam with a bass player. I've played on and off most of my life, but have been more serious about it since covid hit. I average an hour a day split between learning songs and theory. Specifically I'm looking to play around the 10-noon mark on Saturdays, as I work during the week and have family duties at other times. I grew up in the Epiphat era so I listen to a lot of Rancid, Bad Religion, Nofx, Strung Out, etc. though I'm open to playing anything fast and fun. I'll even play outside the genre as long as it's not pop. Mostly I want to up my chops and work on my songwriting skills. I'd say I'm at an advanced beginner/early intermediate stage now. Some songs I've been playing lately are You by Bad Religion, Heaven Knows by Rise Against, and Black Tar Halo by the Suicide Machines. I've got a decent handle on the major and minor pentatonic scales and I understand scale degrees and such. FYI, I'm late 30s, but am open to play with anyone around 25+ as long as we're focused on the music when we jam together. Hit me up if this sounds interesting to you! You don't have to be a bassist, either, it just seems like a good fit. Willing to drive out to Portland if needed (can't imagine Wash County is flush with punk musicians). I'm also fully vaxxed and definitely left leaning. Talk soon!
