I agree. Personally I believe education should be in the top 7 things the government should be ensuring has sufficient funding. No child left behind act was a start. Now rather than just have mercy on them and pass them even though they didn't pass the corse make these kids learn when they are young. I remember having an hour of homework minimum every night. These schools aren't teaching kids as they taught us. These kids today couldn't handle the likes of teachers such ad Mr. Feuerhahn from St. Charles High School back in the mid 1980's. They aren't even teaching cursive writing anymore. Kids will not be able to sign their own name. They'll be back to signing an "x" like not so many years ago.
