Website instead of You Tube? Which route best for artist?

I am a fine artist. I do paintings of cars. i thought what I needed to promote my work was a You Tube video of me at a car show photographing cars and later on painting portraits of the one I liked best but now realize what I actually need is a website first. (I can always insert the video on the website later) But funds are scarce so I'm thinking of a starting off with a two page website--one page to introduce me and another to advertise the first works for sale. Once I sold some art, i could keep adding pages with each sale. So if you do websites and are in the Inland Empire fire off some URLs for websites you did for creative people. Back to budget I m budgeting $200 for the first two pages. OK if you re still a student as long as you've got the skills.
