Job Description Smithbilt homes is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our crew as a construction laborer. In this role, you will work alongside highly-skilled professionals in a residential construction setting. The type of individual we are looking for in this position should be dedicated, hardworking, and a team player, that takes a sense of pride in their work. As a company Smithbilt built over 350 homes last year. There is always room to move up to new positions within our company for individuals who are able to learn what their responsibilities are on each house and perform them well without having to be prompted, as well as being willing to learn from co-workers about carpentry and other skills. Desired skillset: -Experience on a construction crew preferred but not required -Willingness to learn construction skills on-site -Ability to complete work in a timely manner -Ability to work in all weather conditions Responsibilities: -Perform all duties assigned by the Construction Manager or Foreman -Assist in staging of materials for different trades throughout the construction process -Keep job sites and the neighborhood in general clean and organized -Ensure all equipment is properly secure for the night -Follow instructions to ensure safety of entire team -Measure and cut lumber to desired specifications Must have: -Reliable transportation -Positive attitude Benefits: -Five paid holidays -One week of paid vacation after one year of employment -Health insurance offered Job Type: Full-time Pay: $13.00-14.00 per hour
