Description
Merion Golf Club is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Mechanic. This position requires knowledge of general maintenance and repair, construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, and painting for maintaining a historic clubhouse, equipment and surrounding buildings. We take pride in our teamwork and are guided by our Core Values of Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, Service, and Safety. • 40 hours per week • Paid vacation, holiday and flexible time off • Benefits including medical, dental and 401(k) • Flexible schedule • Free staff meals • Golf privileges • Golf Shop discount • Experience required The successful candidate is one who has: • High School Diploma or equivalent, Trade School degree preferred • 2-5 years as Building Maintenance Technician or apprentice trade • Ability to follow oral and written directions • Willingness to learn and adapt to new job tasks • Proactive in individual and group task settings • Knowledge in basic computer skills: Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel & ABS (Automated Building Systems) • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations. • Organized and self-motivated. • Knowledge in basic IT needs as it relates to conference meeting set up laptop/television/video/conference phone equipment and troubleshooting Essential functions include: • Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, refrigeration, HVAC, elevators, ventilation system, and building structure of the club. • Conducts plumbing repairs such as leaking pipes and faucets and clogged drains. • Performs various duties including painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work. • Keeps the work shop areas safe, clean and well lighted. • Maintains heating, ventilation and air conditioning in good working order. • Maintains the fire alarm and security system. • Daily walk through of buildings to ensure all is in good order. • Maintain good preventive maintenance practices to ensure all mechanicals and equipment is maintained in good order. • Follow safety procedures with an emphasis on awareness, discipline, and compliance that conforms to OSHA standards To apply, email or apply online at:
