Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog - Part Time Foster

Putting out feelers if anyone is interested in part time company and care of Ben the amazing Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog. 8 yrs old, 45 lbs. Looking for someone who would love an exceptional dog in their life, but just on a limited basis. Experience or just high interest with these breeds would be ideal! I am an artist, aiming to intermittently travel off and on through 2022 to a project location in Arizona, where I'll unfortunately be unable to bring him along due to limitations on my housing out there. Most of these trips will be in the range of two weeks, with the possibility of a longer stay later this winter (TBD). Ben is a world class partner in running, boating, mountain biking, essentially any and all adventures. He also holds titles in frisbee and chuck-it ball throw. Daily exercise of some sort is his regiment, after which he'll happily snore and snuggle away. He's also lover of dog friends, easiest to relate when off leash in the woods or at Blue Bell Park and similar settings. Like many herding dogs, he does have a few behavioral quirks that I can instruct you on how to work around. He has a sizable repertoire of commands- including the impressive super long distance stay, spinning, perching himself up on precarious objects, and is always looking to add new tricks. Ben's expenses will continue to be fully paid for by myself. I live in South Philadelphia but am listing this in Mt. Airy, thinking closer to the Wiss the better. Let's talk!
