Lead Carpenter / Foreman Become part of a growing business in the exciting construction industry. Creative Contractors is one of the largest General Contractors and Construction Management Firm specializing in institutional, and commercial construction throughout the greater Tampa Bay, Lakeland, and Sarasota area for the past 50 years. We are currently looking to fill the position of Carpenter / Foreman. We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to grow with us, and become a leader in their field. As a Carpenter / Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing labor, overseeing subcontractors, and vendors, material procurement, and working with superintendents to complete daily activities. If you are detail oriented, like to solve the occasional puzzle, and love to put out a quality product, we have a great opportunity for you. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee multiple labors with basic duties ( clean up, organizing material) • Complete miscellaneous carpentry projects ( temp. walls, drywall patches, hang and hardware doors, blocking, and lite demo) • Safety follow OSHA and company guidelines, report safety problems to the superintendent • Help the superintendent schedule, manage, and oversee subcontractors • Maintain a positive, and professional relationship with all potential, and existing subcontracts, and customers • Perform all other duties assigned Role Competencies: Sees the big picture. Understands the goals, priorities, and strategies of the job and how they relate to the schedule, and can prioritize work accordingly - Processes Procedures · Problem Solving and Decision Making – While making good decisions, use a mix of analysis, wisdom, experience, and discernment. Assess needs and anticipate problems, and prioritize to meet deadlines Position Requirements: minimum 5 years experience in carpentry in commercial construction ● familiarity with building and wall layout ● Experience reading construction blueprints ● General Knowledge of commercial construction ● Strong customer service skills ● Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines ● Cooperative attitude Position Details: Full-time Hours: 7:00-4:00 Monday-Friday: Drug free workplace drug test required for employment Compensation: Negotiable based on experience, yearly bonus, mileage, insurance, 401K, 2 weeks paid vacation, 5 days sick leave, 7 paid holidays Please Note: Traveling around the greater Tampabay/Sarasota area is required.
