Historic City Hall will host two concerts by Solero Flamenco, Houston’s premier flamenco performing company, on Friday, January 28, 2022.
Both January 28 performances by Solero Flamenco will feature soulful songs, enchanting guitars and exhilarating dance in an improvised art form. Founders and Artistic Directors Irma La Paloma and Jeremias Garcia will provide the vocal and musical framework for professional flamenco dancers.
Although admission is free, entrance is limited to 100 guests per performance in keeping with COVID-19 safety guidelines. Tickets will be checked at the door upon entry.
Prior to each performance, visitors will be invited to sample traditional Spanish dishes including paella and empanadas, while exploring the exhibits currently on view.
The first performance is planned for 5:30 p.m. with an opening reception beginning at 4:30 p.m. The second performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. with a reception beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the City of Lake Charles and the International Club of Southwest Louisiana.
