Looking for a mechanically inclined individual who is willing to work in a temporary gig, with possibilities of being given a permanent position in a part-time, or full-time job at a Bicycle Shop. Work environment includes a friendly atmosphere, air-conditioning, and laid-back crowd. Applicants must be able to read, write, listen, and above all learn. Applicants should be friendly, well-groomed, and punctual. We prefer that those applying be interested in cycling, or an active member of the cycling community (You know, someone who actually likes bikes). Hours are flexible(though at times inconsistent week to week), and we do not work holidays. The amount of time you are scheduled to work does rely on the season, business, and how busy we are. We welcome those from all walks of life, and will not discriminate based on an applicant's race, age, religion, etc. etc. We are located in Southwest Houston (Corner of Fondren and South Braeswood), and you must be able to get here on time, every time. Pay is based upon skill level at entry into the position, those without experience or knowledge in this particular field will begin at minimum wage; though the possibility of advancement exists. Here at the shop, we fix, build, and sell bicycles, and bicycle accessories. All applicants must be amicable and personable; able to sell and be friendly to customers. We like to provide a well-informed, and welcoming experience for our customers. If you do not have experience or knowledge in the field of Bicycle Mechanics, during your tenure here as a temporary member of our work force we will teach you the ropes on the job. We will teach you how to build, repair, and sell bicycles & accessories. We do not tolerate drug or alcohol abuse, and we DO administer random drug screening. We are open-minded to those with a criminal record, but we prefer you be upfront with us about it and open. We will do background checks regardless.
