Description

Learn about strategies that support children's learning and development while playing in block area. An introduction to the power of Block Play for teachers and providers. Participants will explore and learn about the many benefits and strategies that support children's learning and development while playing in a developmentally appropriate block area. The purpose of the Educare program is to improve the quality of child care and early learning programs. Educare provides resources, technical assistance, and training opportunities to child care providers who care for children receiving Child Care Subsidy, with an emphasis on family home providers. Resources and trainings are free. Educare funding is provided by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division, Early Childhood Section.The Mid-America Regional Council administors the Educare program in Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in partnership with the Local Investment Commission, The Family Conservancy, MCC-Penn Valley and Start at Zero.
