Skate Workshop: Partners and Trios

Learn the proper technique and mechanics for skating in pairs, trios, and trains. Starlight Skatium will be hosting a Partner and Trios Workshop on FEB 5, 2022 from 5-7pm. We will focus on Partner/Couple skating (Detroit style)Trios (3 or more skaters linked together)Register with a partner or crew, or come solo. We can pair you with a partner for the workshop. Detroit-style skating is an art of it's own. You might only be familiar with it from watching videos. It's a very smooth style of skating and utilizes the entire floor. The AllSkate Experience is dedicated to keeping this style alive. Come learn the technique and help preserve this unique style of skating. Price includes rentals, if needed. About the instructors: Ed Reese (just_ed313 /@ Allskate_) My name is Ed Reese. I have been skating for 25 years. I’ve been skating Detroit style for 20+ years. I am a self taught skater who has worked hard on my skills and technique and became a pillar in the Detroit skate world, I've been teaching for the last13 years. Recently, I have started skating NY/NJ style. I am the owner for All Skate LLC where we build and sell custom roller skates, wheels, laces and skate accessories. I am the founder of The All Skate Experience where we provide private and group skate lessons. When I am not roller skating I enjoy ice skating, bowling and basketball. Trenaye (@tre_blk/@treblk_skates) I'm a native of Detroit and I've been skating my whole life. Over the years, I've been a member of roller skate clubs, skated on television and in local parades, competed and traveled, all for the love of skating. I've taught roller skating for 16 years and I LOVE IT! I work hard to help skaters of all levels build confidence and to trust their own abilities all while testing their limits. My focus is primarily beginner level skaters, but I love providing quick and helpful tips to all skill levels. Kenny (@kenwin7283) My name is Kenny a.k.a Kenwin 1 of 3 Members of the All Skate Experience. I’ve been skatin Detroit style for about 6 years & I also skate NY, NJ style for about 2.5 years now. I skate on a Riedell 975 instructor Boot and a Riedell 162.
