Do you love all things chocolate? If so, you will not want to miss Athens Main Street’s popular Chocolate Walk in February! Do you love all things chocolate? If so, you will not want to miss Athens Main Street’s popular Chocolate Walk in February! The Chocolate Walk will take place on February 6, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. This is a ticketed event which serves as a fundraiser for the non-profit organization. All of the chocolate on the walk has been donated by over 15 participating downtown businesses. The self-guided event will start at the Athens Main Street Office (107 N. Jefferson St), where ticket holders will get a list of participating businesses and their bag to collect their chocolate goodies. Athens Main Street, a non-profit organization dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Athens, is organizing the Athens Grease Festival.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the downtown restoration and revitalization projects.  Vision Statement: Historical Downtown Athens, Alabama will be a professional and commercial center, attracting and serving residents and visitors in a beautiful and friendly atmosphere Mission Statement: Downtown Athens is the magical heart of the city and Limestone County providing: an environment for conducting business with a balance of goods and service an opportunity for additional growth a historically significant atmosphere attracting residents and visitors a variety of community activities, functions and events the seat of Limestone County Government
