Description
I have a 10 acre farm near Rayville, Louisiana. My farm is home to hundreds of animals, including exotic animals and farm animals. I have over 30 chickens, ducks, and guinea keets; japanese and chinese quail; pigeons; parakeets; rabbits; sheep; pigs; snakes; turtles; mice; fish; bearded dragons; leopard geckos; a nile monitor; ferrets; and more. I have an entire room in my house dedicated to the reptiles, and over an acre fenced (and expanding frequently) for the outside animals. I also have an entire room turned into an aviary for my indoor birds. I grow mealworms and vegetables for my animals to help supplement feed costs and to know what my animals are eating. I have experience with a variety of special needs animals as well.
Why am I telling you all this? Every year, millions of exotic animals are released or dumped. Most do not survive, some do and become invasive. Many animal shelters will not take in exotic or farm animals, as they are harder to adopt out or they simply don't have the means to care for them. I want to do my part to help animals and help people who are no longer able to care for their animals by adopting their unwanted creatures. If you have an animal that you would like to rehome, please contact me and let's see if I can help you and them.
I cannot take in cats, dogs, or large livestock. Cats and dogs are hard to integrate into the farm - as they tend to prey on the smaller animals, plus there are many rescues and shelters that can take them in. I do not have suitable fence to keep large livestock such as cows and horses; however I do have enough land, so one day I will have the area fenced sufficiently to keep large livestock. Feel free to text me at the number listed or send me an email.
