NEWTON, MA — Progressive Turnout Project (PTP) has endorsed Congressman Jake Auchincloss for reelection in 2022, applauding him for championing pro-democracy legislation.
According to PTP, Auchincloss shares their commitment to "a reality that everyone has the right to vote in a country where voting is made simple and accessible to all."
"Early endorsements and exceptional fundraising speak to the strength of Congressman Auchincloss' re-election campaign as we enter an on-cycle year,'' said Auchincloss for Congress Spokesman Matt Corridoni in a statement. "In a year that will see intense statewide action in Massachusetts and Democrats battling to keep the majority across the country, Congressman Auchincloss has the resources necessary to stay focused on the future and communicate the results from his first year in office, working to put the pandemic behind us and a strong economy in front of us, while protecting the integrity of our democracy."
On Monday, Auchincloss for Congress also announced raising over $400,000 in the fourth quarter of 2021. Over 75 percent of donations came from Massachusetts and the congressman's total raise for 2021 is over $2 million.
Auchincloss has been using his fundraising ability to help Democrats across the country, earning DCCC "True Blue" status even before taking office. Earlier this year, he launched the MA4Dems PAC to help swing-district Democrats across the country, including candidates like Abigail Spanberger, Lauren Underwood, and Frank Mrvan.
