MOUNT VERNON, NY — Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard has appointed Peter Saint George Davis to Associate City Court Judge following the retirement of Judge Adam Seiden. Davis joined the Mount Vernon City Court bench on January 1, to begin his six-year term. He is joining the Mount Vernon City Court as an Associate Judge. Davis is licensed as an attorney in good standing in both New York and Connecticut. Davis has 28 years of legal experience, both as a former Assistant District Attorney and an 18B indigent defense attorney in private practice. His areas of special expertise include criminal litigation, real estate closings, landlord-tenant matters, building code violations and civil litigation. Davis said he is looking forward to supplementing the excellent sitting judges in the City of Mount Vernon by bringing his legal and life experience in being innovative and supportive to continue promoting efficiency in the legal system. Patterson-Howard highlighted Davis's service in the community through pro bono legal work, time as an Auxiliary Police Officer, coaching sports and mentoring youth as reasons his appointment will be a gain for Mount Vernon.
