DANVERS, MA — The coronavirus surge has not spared the Danvers municipal staff and because of that, residents are advised that some departments will be operating with limited personnel at least through Jan. 14.
The town said that "for the safety of the public and colleagues" it will shift to an alternating staffing schedule for the next two weeks.
"We do not anticipate that this will have a large impact on the public," officials said Tuesday morning. "Staff will still be available to assist — whether distanced in town offices or via remote communication."
Officials said town offices will remain open to the public, with face coverings required in all indoor public settings within Danvers, including town offices.
"We appreciate your cooperation and patience," officials said. "The town will continue to monitor case data and make adjustments or modifications to operations as circumstances warrant."
